Weston is a city located in Broward County, Florida. The city was established as a city in 1996 and developed by Arvida/JMB Partners and it is located near the western developmental boundary of Broward County. As of 2006, the city had a total population of over sixty five thousand culturally diverse residents. Weston is part of the South Florida metropolitan area, which is home to five million people. There is an eight hundred year old Tequesta Indian burial mound is located in the city.
